So, I had posted on here not too long ago, looking into ways to get home from STP, and we've totally re-arranged our plans. My husband decided it was going to be too much of a hassle if we both did STP this year (didn't want to spend money on a hotel if we could even find one, would have to find someone to take care of our dog and cats, didn't want to spend time and money on a way home, and besides STP is expensive this year in itself!), so he decided not to do it all. I'm still doing the 2 day though, and he's just going to drive down in our new VW Jetta Sportswagen (getting it in May, so excited!) on Sunday afternoon with the dog in the back area! This means we'll have an entire back seat for one more person, and an extra bike spot on our roof mount! Let me know if you need a ride back to the Seattle area.

What a great husband you have Jessica! My hubby is pretty wonderful too. He's going to wait for me on Saturday. I'm going to attempt to ride the STP this year in one day. We got ourselves a hotel room right near Lloyd Center. The Courtyard by Marriott. We will be right next to the finish line. After I crawl across the finish on Saturday night I'm going to crash! We will hang around a bit on Sunday but I think after lunch we're going to head home. I'm really excited about the STP this year. I have my training ahead of me that's for sure!

Why thank you! I think he's pretty great too :D He did STP a couple years ago, so I think he feels like it's my turn. Not to mention he's had a couple set backs this year, and hasn't been riding as much as he feels he needed in order to do the one day. His goal was to average 20 MPH, which is how fast he went when he did the two day a couple years ago. He also had trouble finding a group of people who were interested in doing that pace. So it worked out. I think next year, I'll do whatever I can to help him train so he can do the one day, and then I'll be the one to drive down! That's great that you're doing the one day. Someday I'd like to do that!
