I'm half debating doing this if my little niece is interested - she's 8 & has type 1 diabetes. I think I'd either have to find a tag a long thingie to add to my bike or rent a tandem, 'cause I don't think she'll be able to ride the distances unless I really work with her between then and now.

Thanks for posting this. I'd like to do it. I hope your niece goes with you -- I'm waiting for mine to get old enough :)

This is a good ride. I'd do it if the fundraising minimum was lower. I'm not able to raise money for more than one ride per year, and it's too much for me to just donate the amount myself.

But it is a nice area.

Ahh..thanks for pointing that out. I saw the registration fee but not the fundraising (min. 200). Still might tho

What's the minimum?

I do the TdC up in Albany, NY (5th year) and the minimum is $150. This is the only fundraiser I do and I've managed to raised more than $1500 each year.
