Guess you won't be using the restrooms either. That's an incredible photo. We could always kayak along the towpath.

do you suppose there's still a towpath underneath there or did it get washed away?

I have every confidence it's still there.
Do you have scuba gear?

I have snorkeling gear & a waterproof camera that you can borrow.

Take pictures when you find the towpath.

Why, yes I do, but you won't catch me using it in that mess.

The clean up will be something!

I wonder how long it will take to dry out after the water recedes?

Looks a little like the first floor of my house did last week. But that's a whole 'nother story. :)

NO! So sorry to hear that. Do you live by a creek or river?

It was a man-made disaster. :) Rupture to the hose going into the washing machine. While I slept. No idea how long it went on, but I was ankle deep at least in part of that floor.

I am calling it the most extreme way to jump start spring cleaning and house organizing.

My husband rode the C&O towpath last year in May and he has the SAME picture...the roof of the Bathrooms showing. They could not even camp as the campgrounds were under water. He stayed at a bunch of B&B's instead. Wow, that is high water.

It usually takes a disaster such as yours to get me to do some major organizing around my house. There's just way too much to do outdoors than be inside organizing.
