Any one interested in a ride tomorrow, March 14th starting around 10:00 AM? I plan on starting from Enumclaw High School and doing a 45 mile ride. I plan to stop in Black Diamond for a break (about half way) at the Black Diamond Bakery. If you're interested post or email me by tonight. It's supposed to be sunny and nice tomorrow. And don't forget we set our clocks ahead tonight.

The weather has been so nice, I've kind of been riding all year long, which I love! Are you doing the CTS ride this Saturday? (I checked out your blog)

I was planning on doing the one on Sunday. On Saturday I'm doing the TWBC's training ride:

TWBC Training Rides (http://www.twbc.org/Default.aspx?pageId=526229)

I'll be doing the Level III 43 mile ride on Saturday then hopefully the CTS from Magnuson Park to Seward Park on Sunday. :)

I'd love to do the ride again on Sunday, but it's my morning to wake up early with the dog and take him for a long walk (my husband and I alternate days as much as possible!:)). I think my friend is thinking about doing some of the TWBC rides this season though, so maybe I'll see you on one of them! I like to mix things up.

How did your ride go yesterday? I did a 50 miler today, and I think I may have been in a similar neck of the woods. We left from our house in Renton, down the Cedar River Trail, up Cedar Grove road then down towards Maple Valley, Black Diamond (saw signs for Enumclaw!), down to Auburn and then back towards our house via the Interurban Trail. It was fun and the most miles and climbing I've ever done!

It was absolutely great. I had one person join me, a guy, and our pace was quick. The course had some steep climbs and we had a ferocious headwind most of the day. Even so the ride was still great. We stopped in Black Diamond at the Bakery for a break. We both had coffee and I chose for myself a delicious donut while he enjoyed a large chocolate chip cookie. We sat and chatted for maybe half an hour before continuing on with our ride. We saw a large group arrive about 10 minutes after us so the place was full of cyclists. Sunday definitely was a day to be outside and apparently people were doing just that.

I'm happy to hear you got a 50 mile ride in Jessica. It sounds like you were pretty close to some areas that I rode on Sunday. I forgot how hilly this course of mine was. It was the first time I rode it since last fall.

Well, I think I will ride with the TWBC this Saturday on their first ride of their training series. I don't think I will make the CBC training ride on Sunday. Instead I may do a local recovery ride of my own on Sunday. It looks like we will have a fantastic weekend! Woot Woot! :)

Enjoy!

Awesome! That sounds like fun. Sometimes I wish I didn't have to work every other weekend, because I love being out when there's a lot of other cyclists on the road. There were actually quite a few yesterday though, no big crowds but just groups of 2-4 people frequently. I'm glad this weekend will be nice because I have it off. Friday I'm doing a 22 miler just down the Cedar River trail with some girls from work (two girls just got their first road bikes in the last week, so it'll be relaxed), Saturday I'll do the CTS ride, and who knows for Sunday, my husband and I may do another ride together after noon if we're feeling good! How long is the TWBC ride?

Oh you are in for a treat Jessica because the weekend weather is looking mighty fine. I took a personal day on Friday so I am looking at a three day weekend. First thing this Friday I have to get my car's oil changed and then I hope to get a nice bike ride in the afternoon.

You'll have to let me know how Cascade's CTS ride on Saturday goes. The TWBC training ride will have three group options. A Level I which will be 29 miles long with an average speed of 12-14 mph, a Level II also 29 miles long with an average speed of 15-17 mph, and finally the Level III which will be 43 miles long and with an average speed of 18-21 mph. I'm debating whether to join the level II or level III ride. I may go for the level III and if I can't keep up I can always drop back to the level II group. Like the CTS training rides the TWBC rides are also 16 weeks long and they're supposed to prepare you for all those big rides coming up this summer. But the TWBC training rides are only scheduled for Saturdays. No Sunday training rides. This year I intend to be strong and ready for my big summer rides! :)
