This just in...

"Los Angeles Police Department Chief Charlie Beck told a group of bicycle advocates that department-wide training would be implemented to highlight the rights of bicyclists on the road and ensure that officers know how to deal with incidents involving bikes."

That's great! It helps a lot too if the officers know what bicyclists *shouldn't* be doing (wrong way riding, running red lights).

I was pretty glad to see this. I hope it's not just lip service. There has been a lot of buzz about cyclists and the city working together lately.

How weird would it be if LA got all bike-friendly?

I was pretty glad to see this. I hope it's not just lip service.

That's why I put the (?) at the end of the subject. I hope it all works out well.
