Damn you and your snow karma.... ;)
Last night, I heard that this one was going to hit NORTH of DC and we would be spared (dusting to an inch). Zen's area was supposed to get more... Dunno if things have changed but I'm still hoping it tracks north of us because we had some decent melting. New England (interior) was supposed to get pummeled (2 feet of snow)

We had about 4 inches of heavy wet snow overnight. It's now raining. Just about 10 miles west of here, schools are closed and there's 10-15 inches of snow.
One more weekend of x country skiing!
Perfect, I'm done with the evil Cyclo-Core on Friday and then it's out on the road next week (if it's not freezing...).

The headline on Google today was something about a snow hurricane set to hit the east coast. Yikes. Even with snow shoes, I'm thinking that's stay-inside weather.

Well, it's more like a nor'easter here. Maybe they said hurricane because we might get snow thunder. It's going to rain even more today, even in western MA, where they had 16 inches of snow. Lots of worries about flooding right now and roofs with snow giving way with the heavy rain.
Praying there's still snow up at Windblown. Their site says it will be a great weekend and that they have plenty of snow to groom, even with the rain...

We got about 30 inches of wet, heavy stuff yesterday, and more snow, sleet, and freezing rain is forecast for tonight and tomorrow. Yikes!

We've had 118 inches of snow this year (yes, that is almost 10 feet) so far and more to come this weekend!
Oh joy!

You're on.
Don't think I won't do it. You may have to wait until next year, though.

Holy cow. I have a storage shed on my balcony that's about waist-high. I keep my mountain bike in it. And a huge gust of wind just moved it about 2 feet. And ripped the side panel off. Yikes.

I was standing in our driveway just moments ago....the snow is receding and the mulch and bushes are starting to show.
And....
Popping their sleepy heads up above the ground....the first of the daffodils are starting to show!:D Just about an inch showing so far.....but they're-a-comin!

The deer love our tulips, too!!!:mad:
Yummy deer-candy...just like the day lilies.
Once the snow recedes off of our tulips, we'll see what their status is. Time to head to Home Depot for a fresh gallon of Deer Off (http://www.havahart.com/ourbrands/deer-off).

We have been using deer scram for about 3 years and it really works. The yard smells like red pepper for about a day, but other than that, it's really helped to save all of our hard work with the landscaping we have done.

There aren't any deer in our neighborhood but the squirrels go after bulbs. We put dried blood down when we planted the tulips.
I'll take a picture when they bloom. :-) I'm hoping both the magnolia trees and tulips are in bloom at the same time.
