Its me...bicyclemamy (pronounced bicyclemommy)
I moved to West Palm Beach, FL from Atlanta, GA about a year ago. I moved here because; I LOVE warm weather in the winter time, I love living within walking/riding distance to the beach and even though I swim like a rock (I'll be working on that in the near future), I love water sports. This is a great place to practice my Spanish and best of all....there are actually people walking and riding their bikes around these parts. Gotta love it!
Through the years I've always had a bike and would ride for recreation whenever I had the chance. Now that I've hit my glorious 40's AND have a sit on my rump job, I’ve been commuting by bike for the last two months for at least 4 days /wk (about 10mi r/t). I also ride for many errands in between. I love, love, love it!
I bought a Trek 7100 as a commuter and I have a Dutch bike for around town. The Dutch bike was a gift, a pretty HEFTY 50lbs worth of a gift. I am grateful, but I really want a fold bike for my future multimodal trips. I hear craigslist a callin.
Oh btw, I got the name bicyclemamy because where ever I ride my bike the Latino men always say, "hola mamy!" :D
