Saturday, February 13. (aka The Day Before Valentine's Day)

Ride from Hickman Park (23700 104th Ave West) in Edmonds to Marina Beach Park, also in Edmonds. And back. At most 3 miles each way.

I've had an evil case of the lung crud for almost 2 weeks now. If I don't ride my bike soon I will explode. So, next Saturday I will do the rigorous 3 mile expedition over the dangerously civilized bike route (with marked and signed bike lanes) through exhausting DOWNHILL portions of Edmonds.

There will pauses for nose-blowing and coughing fits. I will get off my bike to admire sailboats and ferries. I will get off my bike to walk up hills. It is quite likely stops to a coffee shop or two will be involved. It is reasonable to assume there will not be a single fiber of lycra on my heinie.

I dunno what time. After lunch. Maybe after lunchtime nap. Two-ish. I'll figure out the details later.

Let me know if you are interested in joining me in this Tour de Gentle Side of Edmonds so I don't leave Hickman Park without you.

Can I ride with you in spirit? I've been fighting off a winter travelers cold for almost two weeks now. My ventolin inhaler is my best friend!

Nothing like a little bike ride to get those fluids flowin'!

I have been debating whether I should plunk down money for studded tires for the mtb or get a trainer. Leaning towards the latter, as pumping cold air into my lungs seems to be counterproductive.

I hope you get some beautiful weather on Friday!

I'm working on the 13th, but I just wanted to say that I hope you feel better soon!

Will add my sentiments too in that I sure hope you feel better soon - and way before Saturday, f'sure!
I saw a rainy forecast for Saturday so I opted to spend the day with a certain very first grandchild...my 4 month old grandson :)

Knot, sorry to hear about the lung crud. Not fun. I too have a touch of something there but it's not bad. It just leaves me more easily winded with some really gross loogies.

I'll be with you in spirit on your ride and I hope that you'll be much improved by then.

Mary, your grandson is adorable. Nuzzle his poofy baby cheeks for me, will ya?!! And congrats to you and your family!

Hey Knott - how're you feeling? Sure hope you kicked that lung crud to the curb by now!

[thanks, SGT - and nuzzling him is a new fave pastime!]
