This might seem like an odd question...
But I am trying to make a separate facebook page for training (since I'm friends with a lot of people on my regular facebook page who couldn't care less).
I am *hoping* that a marathon I want to run this summer might have TweetmyTime, which posts autoupdates of chiptime to twitter. If this happens, I would actually want to tweet to both pages.
I added the twitter gadget to both pages, and gave it permission to post on both walls, but it only seems to be posting on one wall. Does anyone know if this is because you are only allowed to use it with one page at a time, or because i need to troubleshoot?
:D
thanks.

How do you create a separate FB page? I've been wanting to do the same thing as you, but can't figure out how to do it... do I just have to create a new account and then create a new page?
Sorry I didn't help with your question. I just created another question to be answered. ;)

I don't know how to answer your specific question.
But the new Facebook settings are actually useful in this situation. Rather than creating a whole 'nother Facebook page, you could create a List of your training peeps. (Go to the page that shows all your friends, add one to a List that you create, then add the rest of them to the same List.)
Then make your posts concerning your training visible only to that list. (Click on the lock icon below your status update, then from the pulldown menu select "Customize" -> Make this visible to: "Specific people..." and enter the name of your List.)

Thanks for the suggestion, Oakleaf. I will have to consider that. It's a good idea, although I might still favor a separate page -- I belong to a few running forums and I'd like to be able to share my training with some of those people (as well as some IRL people) and I"m not sure I want to reveal too much about my "real" identity to the online peeps. I know I could keep my address and contact and such private from specific people or groups, but I don't have the patience for overly elaborate custom privacy settings, and in any case I'd have to share my name.
Tri Girl, I just created a username based on one of my running forum usernames -- I typed one word in the "first name" field and another word in the "last name" field, and I used a separate email address from my other account. If they actually audit for non-real names periodically, I'd imagine I might be in trouble, since it's quite clearly not a "name." Although I'm not using a fake identity in a malicious or misleading way, so I'd hope they'd cut me some slack...

Hey Trigirl - I have two FB pages as well - same thing you did. I'm also on twitter but I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. I think you can only tweet to one fb page because you are only *supposed* to have one facebook page?
I know another way some people have gotten around this issue by creating a 'fan page" for their internet persona.
