Can you help me find a resource?

I have developed quite a library of books since returning to school to get my Master's in Counseling. I share an office building with 6 other counselors. I don't mind sharing my books but I do not want to lose track.
I am trying to find the envelopes that go on the inside cover of the book that have a slip of paper in them to "check out" the book. Kind of old school yet very effective.
I have put several phrases in the search engine and come up with nothing.
Any ideas??

and in 3 seconds BAM - you find it!

That's the easiest, cheapest way.

I managed a library that had a bar-coding system....you know only 50% of people used it themselves for self check-out of books. (a large law firm library)

Easier for them to print their name and date on sign out card.

I also put large white removable labels (http://www.avery.com/avery/en_us/Products/Labels/Identification-Labels/Print-or-Write-Multi_Use-Labels_05440.htm?N=0&Ns=&refchannel=c042fd03ab30a110VgnVCM1000002118140aRCRD)on the front of the books that state something along the lines of "Return to SadieKate."

It's amazing how many times someone forgets that it's a borrowed book because your name is on the inside.

Wanna go high tech? We got the Delicious Library software that lets you catalog your home library (plus other things--we put a lot of our videos on there)--you hold the UPC code up to your webcam and it pulls up the information about the book and puts it on the "shelves" of your library (looks eerily like the screen shots I've seen of the iPad iBooks software). When you loan something out, you just drag the picture of the book to your friend who borrowed it (pulling the friend info from your address book) and that keeps track of who has what and for how long.

Hmmm. Apparently it's only available for Macs. There's a refreshing change! But it really is cool software.

I usually have problems (In a work environment) of lending a book out, and then the person I lend it to lends it to someone else who then...

In my worst example, I had 2 text books that I brought in for a student use, he leant them to another girl that came into the lab... I asked when my student was leaving to find out where the books were, and then when I was leaving the lab, I asked the girl who had them... who did the... wait, when I moved I brought them back in to give to you...

So then it turned out that once they were brought back in I wasn't around, and another girl borrowed one of the books and the staff scientist borrowed the other...

This is of course borrowing that took place for several months each set of people.

My husband uses Library Thing and loves it. It has a tags feature that he really likes. I think the tag feature could be used to track who has it checked out.
