Places to ride near Inverness, FL?

Hello,

My girlfriend and I will be in Inverness, FL for a week in March. We've decided to bring our bikes to go riding on at least one of those days. Can anyone recommend some good routes or places to ride near Inverness? Is the Withlacoochee rail trail a good place to ride? BTW, we're bringing our roadbikes.

Hello the old railroad tracks have been converted to a walking and bicycling path for all to use. You can park downtown Inverness and start off with miles of trail in either direction.
