Ok, I'm a sucker for nice leather products, especially when nice craftsmanship is involved. :) Purchasing a beautiful Brooks saddle is considered to be one of the small pleasures in life and I think of it as a luxurious gift to self.
That being said, at what point do you discourage saddle buying?
What if one sees yet another gorgeous Brooks saddle but have saddles for all the bikes? :o
I fell in love with the Brooks Alpe D'Huez (http://www.wallbike.com/~billlain/brooks/teampro/alped'huez.html) a year ago and have avoided the temptation to purchase it. It calls to me. It would make a nice addition to my collection. If I purchase it I would have to play musical saddles and neglect one saddle. And then it would get lonely. And it wouldn't get broken in as well. The thought of parting with it is, well, too difficult to consider.
Oh the temptation!
Sigh......
