My sister, my neice and I were wandering around the Salavation Army store yesterday and came across this for $59:

It's nearly mint. The only hint of damage is a messed-up rear brake cable and the decals are crackling a bit. The tires don't look like they've ever been ridden, but they're so old that the rubber is brittle.
Gonna take it to the shop today for new tires and cables, and an all-around tune-up. I want to find her a black Brooks B67 or B68 to put on there.
I'm so excited for my sister! I can't wait for the bike to be road-worthy so we can go for a ride. :) :) :)

Dropped it off at the ol' LBS today to get it all gussied up. The guys in the service dept. were ooh-ing and aaah-ing over it. One of the guys even hopped on the bike and started riding it around the store, saying how cool it was.
I think I'm a little bit jealous of my sister now, LOL.
Gotta find an old-fashioned water bottle cage (the kind with clamps) 'cause this bike doesn't have the built-in bolts for one.

pretty bike! you should post it on the Mixte thread.
Here you go (http://www.velo-orange.com/bocacl.html)
They have some nice cages too, like this one (http://www.velo-orange.com/voretrocage.html)
Damn that's a nice bike. And here I was thinking I had the jackpot of the day with 50% off everything at the thrift store.

Here it is! New tires (Bontrager Hard Case), cushy new handlebar wrap, aero brake levers, and an awesome Brooks saddle (many thanks to divingbiker!!!). Eventually it will get more of a commuter treatment (rear rack, lights, etc.) but this is as far as current funding would get us:

The weather is lousy so my sister hasn't even had a chance to ride it yet. :(
But it should be sunny this weekend, so maybe we can sneak in a ride on Sunday morning.

Just want to show off our dual Brooks:

(PS On the rear rack of my bike is a box of new pink handlebar wrap. My bike got jealous so I had to get it a little something. :p )

Wow. That is a nice bike.
How is the shifting?
Course my first thought is turn it into a single speed...
Happy miles ahead.
