Just have to brag.
Running hubby fielded a 5 person coed team at the "24 hours of fury" mountain bike race this weekend.
He hand picked a great team, and they rocked the race.
RH has been training hard, and it really paid off. He did consistant sub one hour laps (course was 10 miles).
Last year his laps went from a 56 minute first, to a 1:20 last lap.
The other team members rocked as well. In fact one of them was riding a brand new Ibis Mojo for the first time. - Thanks to Ibis for rushing it to us, it arrived Friday. (GREAT COMPANY!)
The second place finish didn't come easy tho. It took a flury of protests at the end, as they didn't have two of the laps recorded.
And RH cracked his frame (second time!!!!) on his last lap. It's a horrible crack at the weld were the tt and st meet. He's lucky it didn't fold. BUT this is why we carry a bike line that has a lifetime warranty. He will get a new frame. This is the third warranty on that bike model (one other time for RH and on our managers frame), so we are guessing it was a bad batch.
But in the end, RH was still smiling.

I can't tell you how proud I am!!! I was busting when I found out they got on the box.
Historically RH has always supported me. And I knew that deep down he wanted to race, but I think he was afraid to step out there.
Seeing him work hard for something, and then be able to shine is a really cool thing.
So anyway, I just had to brag. He's a really good guy, and deserves all things good.
Oh- and at dinner tonight it occured to me that all of the team members started out as strangers walking in the door of the shop, who became regualr customers, who became friends, and who are now a part of the family.
We are very blessed!
