I saw one of these locked up near my job yesterday. I stood there looking at it for a moment, bike adoration. http://bikes.konaworld.com/09/09_honkytonk_uk.cfm
New bike. Steel. Downtube shifters. Lovely.

Nice to see steel frame and dt shifters making a comeback in the general new bike population. Now if only they put a logical saddle on there- it hardly looks like a racing bike.... LOL

I like Kona's general asthetic, but their steel forks on these leave something to be desired. I wish they were more...elegant? classic? curved? Maybe all three.

I have no complaints about the function of the steel forks on my Konas, but yeah, they don't have the pretty curve. You could always replace it with a Surly fork. Ooh, those lugged sloped shoulders, the curved arms... yeah. :D

Remember how the shifters of yore used to creep back?

The downtube shifters on my Azuki Sebring never did work right for me. It was always slipping gears. I'm glad not to have them anymore!
