I don't know if this will fly...if this post upsets anyone, let me know I'll delete it.

My pals at RBR have built up a bike to be auctioned as a fundraiser for another member. His baby, Collin, is currently fighting leukemia, the RBR family have pretty much adopted Collin as one of their own.

Collins Bike (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160374678994)

It's up for auction now on Ebay, if you wanna take a look.....

I hope they can get more for it than where it stands now. It certainly is worth it.

One of their charity builds went for $1500. Here's hoping. ;)

That's a great idea. (It might also be nice if they set up a separate fundraising site where people who don't necessarily want a bike or to spend quite so much could help out. That way more people could actually donate.)

That might be happening, I'll let y'all know if they do.

I happy and proud to announce the bike sold for $987!

On another note, this is the 6 month anniversary since Collin had his bone marrow transplant. Keep up the fight Collin!

It just gets better and better. The buyer prefers to remain anonymous. He/She is sending the seller a check for $1000, rather than going through PayPal and having any fees taken out.

Then.....

He/She has asked that the bike be re-listed and auctioned off again, for Collin.

I don't know whether to cry, laugh, jump up and down or what. I love my invisible internet friends.

The bike sold again tonight for $710. The buyer has turned it over ---- to be auctioned again.

For those that asked about another place to donate, one of the people on RBR has made Team Collin stickers -- all proceeds go to Collin and his family.

http://www.butnz.com/TheLounge.html

Scroll down a bit and you'll see the stickers. Payment for these goes to a PayPal site separate from the other items he is selling.

There is also the Caring Bridge (https://ssl.charityweb.net/caringbridge/?Split=2001&FirstName=Janet&LastName=Lemon&LastName_1=Janet+Lemon&Address1=&Address2=&City=&PostalCode=&EMail=jelemon%40gmail.com&ClientDonorID=6087091&Custom3=%2Fvisit%2Fcollinmarsh&Custom6=101011&Custom11=Collin&HonorName=Marsh)site, where you can donate to help other families who need it.

I'm so happy and proud to belong to such an amazing group of people.

Wow! It's like a really cool bike version of paying it forward! I hope the chain continues!!
Also hope the little dude will be able to look back at this one day in awe of the generosity of folks!
