Lance on Letterman tonight

Hey all -

Just a quick note to mention that while I was home for lunch just now, I saw a network commercial about Lance being on the David Letterman Show tonight. This should be a new one as they announced him as "Seven-time TdF winner..."

(yawn) ...If I can keep my eyes open that late (11:30 here), I'll be watchin' it.

and tonight at 8:00 eastern time OLN is having an hour interview with him. It will be repeated at 11:00 then again on Saturday in the same time slots.

The Letterman show was fun to watch. I work in Manhattan so I guess Lance was here during the day. So close yet so far. I knew nothing about it during the day. ugh

wow, Lance is such a hottie!! His interview on Letterman was pretty good. You gotta love how he called Lance's more "aero dynamic" helmet goofy. So now he's going to help with the team next year, I think that's good. I knew he wouldn't be able to completely walk away and I'm glad he didn't. But it was weird hearing him say he hadn't rode all week, whoa.. lol

JoAnn! Thank you, thank you for the reminder about tonight's OLN broadcast! I really want to see this and had forgotten it was on!! I am commuting today so will miss the first showing but will catch it at 8pm out here... whew! I'd have been so bummed if I missed seeing it!!!

Hope you didn't tape the CR Show....they never showed it/him.Are you sure you got the right episode? I had to sort through all of them. It's on DishNetwork right now on the PBS-YOU (or PBS-U) channel as a repeat. I think it comes on again later this afternoon.

I really like Charlie Rose because he goes for an interview not a joke session. Letterman is usually good but he jumped on top of the laconic Texan's responses and cut him off way too many times.

Cycling is going good. We have been doing rides from my house to and riding the Jones Beach path and also the Bethpage Path.

There is an organized ride that I cannot do because I also have a set up at some craftfairs. I thought the ride was on the 14th but it is on the 21st of August and I am booked. It is called Tour of the Hamptons. Here is the link if you are interested. http://www.massparkbikeclub.org

I guess what will be our first century is Oct. 2nd in NJ called the Pumpkin Patch Ride. My girlfriend has rode it a couple of times and said it is a lot of fun. Both rides, the Hamptons and Pumpkin are on the flat side so it may not be too bad.

I read you lind about the crazy drivers you ran into. Were you on Long Island or Staten Island.

Well, I had a busy day here so I just caught your message. I guess I will read all the others tomorrow as I am now headed out the door.

Catch me up on what you have been riding. From you other message it sounds like you are doing real good and having fun except for the driving creeps.
