I purchased this and when I got it home, the standover wasn't any bigger than my 49cm Nishiki. It is a Raleigh 53cm, but I measured the bottom bracket and it's about 3cm lower than the Nishiki, thus making up the difference. Top tube is a few cm longer. I forgot the measurement, but I can send it to anyone who is interested when I get home. It has a vinyl Brooks saddle, which I have never seen before. I'm just trying to recover my $80 that I paid for it. A better bike than my Nishiki, but I've already turned my Nishiki into a single speed with different bars and I'm not really in the mood to make this one my mixte.

I really don't want to ship it, but am willing to drive and meet someone withing 150 miles. I'm in the middle of Missouri by Jefferson City.

Seems to be in good shape. A few scratches. I think it may be a 1978. Here is a link to Sheldon Browns 1977 catalog (http://www.sheldonbrown.com/retroraleighs/catalogs/1977/index.html) which looks a lot like it except for the blue center. Same components.

Claudia - I have an early 1970s 53 cm Raleigh Super Course mixte; you can swap 700c wheels on, and even use the same brakes (just move the brake pads up a little). This got me the extra height I needed (I ride 52/53 cm Bianchis).

Well that's uncanny, considering this is a picture of my Raleigh mixte before I changed the bar tape, added a rack and baskets, and swapped out the pedals:

I'm almost certain it's a 1977.
