Any name suggestions? We pick her up from the shelter after she gets spayed tomorrow :D She's part of a litter of 11  and it was seriously hard to only commit to one :p (ETA - we have two cats already.. I think adding more than one more would likely be unwise)

She's supposedly some sort of Maine Coon mix.. she's brown tabby w/ white (and I adore the spot on her nose) which makes her a wicked cute ball of fluff right now!

Cutie!!!!

I let my son name his cat. This is her name: Meow Meow Furball. Most of the time we call her Pud (like pudding).

Get her a kickeroo! My cat goes made over it. http://www.amazon.com/KONG-Kickeroo-Pattern-Tiger-Catnip/dp/B001JQLKUS

Should be available in most pet stores. They hug the top with their front paws and kick the bottom with the back paws.

Have fun!

In university we had a kitten called Pat the Cat. And we had a fern in the corner called Robert Plant...

congrats on your new kitty. I learned a lesson about soliciting names from everyone. Some people get their egos involved and when you don't pick THEIR names they get hurt feelings.
We just got Dot, she's wonderful, but she could have had 25 names!

When I was a kid I had a cat named Fuzzy Pants.. and a dog named Puppy Wuppy, so I'm absolutely not above silly/stupid names :)

Our other two cats are Daisy and Heidy.. Heidy kept her shelter name because she was SO shy when we brought her home.. and he sort of earned the nickname "hidey-cat" really fast so we thought Heidy was funny (they misspelled it, not us) and kept it :p

Daisy, uh, well, she's white with black spots and reminds me of the old cow-print foil seals on teh tubs of Daisy Sour Cream.. so um, yeah :)

That's just weird but if you'll notice, no one's actually suggested a name yet!

Crash... Crash The Cat... CC for short.

I say this thinking we could be twins in ways. She has a spot under her left eye that reminds me of my crashed face, and black eye. And I'm multiple face colored too from road rash.

Now, I know that sounds on a downer note. But, not really...

I bet if you had a vid of her, she would do some "crashing" into stuff playing. And so what if she crashes... cats have nine lives, eh? Bet she would just keep on rockin.

I love kitties. The other half is allergic. Thus, we do not have one:(. Almost adopted from the pound before. Somehow the name the pound gave her was going to stick.

Hope she is a fun addition to your home.:)

Cutie pie. She is very cute. Innocent eyes and so pretty.
My partner says she looks like a sadie cat.

My favorite vet calls all of our cats "sweet pea".

Enjoy picking her name.

She's adorable! I'm horrible at picking names. I only picked Ruthie for my furball because my friend had passed away two days before I got her. I thought it'd be a nice memorial, but my Ruthie is a much bigger trouble-maker!:p

She looks like my Tortilla (sorta) and we got her at the same shelter! Tortilla was named Telly by the shelter but it wasn't something I liked calling her.

I thought she looked like Turtle ice cream but didn't like Turtle so I was going to call her Tortuga. My friend thought I said Tortilla and I thought "why not?" It really fits her quirky personality and she kinda looks like a flour tortilla. :p

Bring her home, she will tell you her name. My little dog Heidi told me. I thought Dixie, then Lovey but nope she said "MY NAME IS HEIDI!"

Here are some cats I have had:
Storm Trooper (my brother named)
Ink Spot (she was black)
Cricket (she had a kennel cold and chirped)
Spyder Monkey (she was climber from the start, we called her Spyder)
Sylvester
Crispin
Sammy (I was devastated when he was hit by a car)
Smokey
Sasha
My Pawpaw had DC (Damn Cat), he is buried with DC's ashes!
My Mammaw had Rat Cat (good hunter), Lefty (she was convinced he was left handed) and now Tuffy

My husband had a great cat for 19 years named Skitty. It was skittish so it was Skitty Kitty. I adored Skitty!

With ears like that, you should name her Ross Perot.

e.e. cummings...I'm going to name my plant Robert!

My folks used to have a cat named Bill. It was a stray that wandered into our yard, and stayed. My brother and folks always assumed the cat belonged to our neighbor, Billy (he didn't). So, it was "Bill's cat", and ultimately, Bill, when the neighbor moved away and the cat stayed.

My rabbit's name is a mis-spelling. I named him NOAA (http://www.noaa.gov/), after my agency, and the vet wrote "Noah" so that's sort of stuck.

Your foundling is adorable, by the way. That 3rd picture is just too much!!

We have had many Maine Coons...I'm not seeing any MC in your new kitty.
However, your new baby is a GORGEOUS kitty....I love how she looks! And such wonderful bat ears! Yes, that nose spot is super cute indeed. :p

Congratulations! And good for you adopting a needy kitty. :)

Speaking of funny names, our neighbors have two little dogs that they named Coco-puff and Pebbles.:)

Me either.. she's fluffy, which is why I think the whole litter got that label (and only 4 or 5 of the 11 are longhaired.. but they're listing ALL of them the same.. weird). I don't really care what she is :)

Congratulations! And good for you adopting a needy kitty. :)

Thanks.. our other two came from the same shelter last summer :D (as did our dog).

We won't get her until tomorrow now, since the Vet wanted to hold her overnight to make sure she was fine from the anesthesia :(

It'll be better. She'll be a bit frightened when she gets transported to your house, and you wouldn't want her having to go through being afraid while she's also feeling drugged out too.
It'll be a happy time when your new baby comes home! :D

Tortilla was listed as Manx (obviously she is tailless) and Maine Coon by the same shetler. She is big and medium fur, yup must be Maine Coon. :p Enjoy the new baby!

Sometimes you have to wait a day or two to see what she's like and find the name that suits her.

We have nine cats inside and one outside (she won't come it):

Pookie a/k/a Pookie Bear - she's all white
Burger - 'cause we rescued her from a Burger King - she's tabby & white
Champ - he's silver
Weebles - 'cause he's round bottomed like a Weebles Wobbles but they don't fall down
Frosty - she's silver
Sierra - she's a tortie
Betsy - she's a tabby
Bubba - he's a BIG tabby but a BIGGER baby
Colby - he's the color of Colby cheese
Bad Kitty -- she's the outside girl that we rescued but refuses to live in the house

You all are funny :)

Meet Willow! :p

She is so funny, she follows us around everywhere, and has to sleep within 2 feet of someone or she's NOT happy  This is so different from our other two who were SO shy as babies... we'd constantly have to go looking for them to make sure they were okay... and this one won't leave you alone :)

Our big kitties are still terrified of her, but I do think they'll come around.. so far they're avoiding her, they're not outwardly aggressive or anything.

The dog likes her :D She isn't so sure about the dog though...

Aw...she looks like a Willow! She's just beautiful!

We are terrible at naming animals. We have a cat named "Kitty" and two dogs, both with exceedingly popular dog names (Maggie & Charlie). And the goat we named? Buddy. Some of our chickens also have names. They are Seven, Pretty Bird, Puffy Cheeks, No Tail and Attila. Seriously, we suck at this. :p

What a cutie pie! And Willow is a terrific name.

I have a 16 year old named Oreo. Can you guess what color she is? But her name was progressive. I wanted to call her Shakespeare, but my ex-DH thought that was dumb - after all, she was a girl. So, I started with the black and white theme, and progressed to Othello - also vetoed. From there we hit on Domino, which became Dominoreo (those commercials with the Oreo cookies were popular then), and then Oreo. The latter stuck.

My poor kitty gets called "monkey" all the time though - probably more than Oreo!
