is to own this jacket....

This is such a nice piece that I would wear it to work, with a skirt. Too bad I've put myself on a "necessities only" clothes budget!
This one is very similar (http://www.pearlizumi.com/product.php?mode=view&pc_id=105&product_id=1449017&outlet) and less spendy. it doesn't have that fancy red lining ;)
i'm wearing mine today!
I know who Norma Jean is, but who is Norma Gene?

Zen - Thanks for the link. Your jacket is very nice.
There's just something about the Sheila Moon jacket ---- the tailoring, the fabric, yes, the lining -- that appeals to me. Plus it's a piece I could wear to work....
I just can't justify spending that much on a jacket, particularlywhen I have more clothes than I really need.

Sell some of the stuff you have and don't wear, and buy that jacket!

That's why I love the local WABA bike swaps. I can sell older stuff, or stuff I'm bored with, and use that to buy new!

That's a great idea. I get wonderful stuff at consignment shops. Mickchick--if you sell some of your clothes at a consignment shop, just let me know which one so I can go buy them! You seem to have very good taste.

That is an awesome jacket! You should splurge so that I can live vicariously through you! ;)

That is a cool jacket. I've been thinking about getting a Stine Leather Jacket from Eddie Bauer. I don't have any nice mid weight jackets. They're all rather sporty and bike related. Nothing wrong with that... but it would be nice to have a nice jacket.
AND OMG... I splurged and bought a Hanro bra. That thing is so comfortable and makes my less than there, look somewhat there. :p All w/o underwire!

Thanks for the compliment (which means a lot coming from you, Tulip, because you have good taste). ;)
Since I am fortunate in a lot of ways and try to "do unto others," I donate no-longer-worn clothes instead of taking them to consignment stores. I had been there myself -- struggled to make ends meet & couldn't afford "nice" clothes -- during my younger years....

I'm really missing my hair stylist in Alexandria...but I just couldn't justify taking a whole day, $50 for the train, $15 for lunch, and $75 for the actual haircut anymore...so I'm less stylish than I used to be...

mickchick - this jacket reminds of the 'tweed' rides that are popping up all over the place. Good jacket. Says it is not advised for broad shoulders, that's me, too bad...

I'd offer to test it out for TE and write up a review, but I don't think TE would go for it!!!

I never regret buying something that I love, but I have regretted not buying something when I saw it, and waiting until it was too late and no longer available.
Feeling the peer pressure, yet! You must have! ;)

I can't justify spending that much on a jacket that I really don't need, unfortunately.
