I've been in funk since last Thursday. It's a combination of a bunch of stuff. Work has been stressful. My younger daughter has been sick (and out of school) since last Tuesday. My older daughter who hasn't missed in a day of school in well over a year stayed home today because she wasn't feeling well. And I don't feel 100%. I've been tired and feeling under the weather so of course, I haven't been getting out on the bike that much. I stayed home from work today to rest and hopefully get refreshed and re-energized before I have to go back to the daily grind tomorrow. The only healthy one in my family is our dog! So the mailman shows up at the door with a package from Team Estrogen. Why is it that a package from TE with a few articles of new cycling gear is an instant mood changer? :D I suddenly feel my energy coming back. :)

The Team Estrogen gods were smiling on you when you needed it the most. (((((Hugs)))) You will bounce back and you will benefit from a few days of no training, you will be stronger when your family gets back on its feet.

Thanks, e.e. I just went for a nice easy 12-miler to my daughter's school to pick up her homework. It felt good to be on the bike and the weather was beautiful. Except for the wind (where in the world did that come from??).

The funny thing about the TE order - it was little things like arm warmers, 2 pairs of socks and a pair of gloves. But I needed them badly so opening that package was a lot of fun.

Hey!! You got arm warmers! Great. :D
We're completely corrupting you, aren't we?
(Um...that's the BPVC)

You guys are corrupting me...in a good way! I can't wait to wear the arm warmers so I can be a real cyclist. :p

This from the woman who has like 4000 miles this year? You are a real cyclist in my book!

Thanks, Becky! I consider myself a runner who's pretending to be a cyclist. :D I have so many funny stories about how much I don't know about bikes and cycling but I've learned so much here on TE and from 7rider and the groups we ride with.

Isn't it amazing how a little cycling (and cycling gear) can totally turn your mood around. I ride during lunch at work and I always return with a smile on my face and a lot more energy!
