About a year ago I was looking for a bike for my 5' nothing wife. With the help of some good advice from this forum we bought this Symmetry off of ebay. It turned out to be a great bike and we bought one pretty much just like it for my mom earlier this year. Mom loves hers, but we have come to the conclusion that a 'sporty road bike' is a little racier than my wife would like. She has gone back to riding my RANS Fusion and we're trying to decide between a Surly Long Haul Trucker and the Rivendell Betty Foy.

198? Terry Symmetry
Tange, double-butted steel 16" frame, slightly over 26" stand-over height
7-speed cassette with Shimano STX RC rear derailleur
Shimano Deore XT triple crankset with Deore LX front derailleur
Shimano bar-end shifters
Dia Compe BRS-400 sidepull brakes and BRS Blaze compact levers
Sun M13II rims on Shimano 400CX hubs
Panaracer Pasela tires (700c x 25cm Tourguard & 24" x 1")
YST headset
Terry stem, saddle and bar

Bike is not 100% mint, but it is in excellent shape for being 20 or so years old. Tires and tubes are brand new with only a mile or two on them. Georgena Terry seems to value bikes of this era at about $500 so I'll start there. Feel free to make an offer or ask any questions.

So pretty! I have a Terry and love it, even though my husband calls it a "midget bike." You could also post the listing on the Terry web site -- they have a "buy/sell" section, for Terry bikes only: http://www.terrybicycles.com/trade/browse/sell

Good luck!
