Big winds last night snapped one of our trees in half around 12:30 AM. Woke me right up! Those who have been following some of my threads will understand this . . . I'm pretty confident God was trying to get a message across to my DH :D Really, I should not be laughing about this.

One word..Karma.

I'm glad you are okay and that no one was hurt.

Eek, looks like things were worse in MI than here in Chicago.

Why is this kharmic? Was DH recently involved in some sort of tree abuse?

I'm glad no one was hurt, but yowza, that had to be scary.

It's only karma if it's totalled :p... will the insurance do that for you?

Glad everyone's okay.

Wasn't this a new car, limewave that your DH bought against your wishes since budget was tight? Maybe I have lousy memory..

YES! You are right.
The car service place said it was totaled. We have good insurance, so I'm 99%*certain that we'll get a big check for the truck. DH has already said that we will NOT be replacing it--we'll see if he follows through with his word.

Karma is right.

Were you able to not laugh as you called him to the window? Is there any way you can gain sole possession of that check so he can't do anything stupid with the money?

Hope your house roof is OK. Did you check that?

Once you pay off the truck will you have any $$ left? Tree right through the heart of the truck, yeah, that says something.

Please don't think me evil, but I saw the pic, immediately remembered the story behind the truck, and laughed out loud.

Karma indeed!

he he he he he ;)

It looks like we'll have to demolish our garage and build a new one.

The truck is dead. The tree went right through all the electrical and mechanical work under the hood and destroyed everything behind the dashboard. It is just like a knife right through its heart. God smote it.

We've paid all of one month's payment. We even have gap insurance on it. I think we'll be covered.

Did your husband ever, er, admit to his wayward doings? ;)

Hrm. He may not defy you again given that you can call on nature to do your bidding.

So, has he picked out his new vehicle yet? I'm thinking a nice little scooter will be just right.

Hey, we just went to the library last week and picked up Dave Ramsey's Total Money Makeover. It might say things to hubby in a softer voice than the tree or the old ball and chain :D:cool:
Thanks for the picture! It is really worth a 1,000 words!

I'm really glad you have enough insurance on it to cover all of this - 'cause it woulda sucked if the insurance payment wasn't enough to pay off the loan on the truck.

This made my day! I'm so glad you found something to smile about. Secretly, of course.:D
