This past weekend was the Louisiana MS-150, and the subject header says most of it. The day was cool, muggy, but pleasant. We had a bit of a drizzle, but that was thankfully about 1/2 an hour from the start, so we were warmed up, and then the sun came out. Lovely fall weather. I had a great ride, all 27.5 miles of it. And then some phantom stuck a knife into my left IT band. Made me crumple in pain crying for my Mommy. The lovely ladies driving the SAG truck asked if it was my bad knee? No, the other one is my bad knee, this was my "good" knee. :(

One of my teammates is a superfund raiser and he gave me his free massage coupon (I would have paid), so the MT worked my unhappy knee over, and they told me to ice it as much as possible the rest of the day. And "it's up to you if you ride tomorrow." I thought maybe..... I was out voted. Sunday morning, I knew the safest and smartest thing to do would be to put my bike on the bus and call it a day. This was my shortest MS ride ever. I'm bummed. Those that did ride yesterday, got soaked by rain later in the morning, and at some point all riders were pulled off the road due to the storminess.

While riding the shuttle bus in the park I met some folks from Houston - they come do our ride because the ride route is better, less crowded, and the food is better. We were happy to have 1000 riders, where that ride as 13,000 riders! So Texas, come on over! :D
