I never anticipated having a bike with these. That was before I fell in love with the Dew Deluxe. I don't know the first thing about maintaining them. Do I leave it all to my LBS, or should I be doing something to keep them happy?

You don't need to do anything to keep them happy. Those are hydraulic disk brakes, so no cables to tighten. Your LBS can replace the hydraulic fluid if necessary but they should run a long time without needing that. The brake pads can be replaced when worn, and the gaps around the disk can be adjusted, but you won't need to do anything unless the brakes cease to work properly or the pads start rubbing the disk. Just be kind to the disks so they don't get bashed or warped.

And don't get Simple Green or lube on the rotors or pads. Just use alcohol to clean the rotors.

Alcohol swabs are wonderful for cleaning disc brakes!
