My ortho doc saw me for the final time yesterday. My range of motion in my shoulder is still not 100%, but it's miles better than it was. I still can't reach behind and hook my bra. He says the reaching behind motion will be the last to come back. I also get to wean myself off anti-inflamatories, I've been on Diclofenac for a couple of months.....after my doc and PA found out how much Advil I was eating.

Yay, no more doctors. Well, sorta, I'm now catching up on all of my preventative care that got pushed out of the way this past year.

I can't reach behind to hook my bra either and I'm a decade younger than you for about 20 more days.

I purposely never buy bras with hooks in the back. :D

Glad you are recovering!

Very exciting to get discharged by orthopedist or physical therapist. Three years after my accident and shoulder surgery and I still avoid pull-over sports bras. I seem to get "stuck" taking them off when they are sweaty. I've got quite a collection of zip-front sports bras now.

Yay Snapdragon!

Add me to the list of one battling bra hook access. So far I can still unhook in the back and pull off a sports bra, but it hurts. Last year I had two months of PT for an impingement in my right shoulder, now I've got similar issues in my left one (but having gone to PT yet). So my right shoulder is now my "good" shoulder  I do know that if I do my exercises, left feels better, and rewards me with better range of motion. I haven't done my exercises for a couple of days and its

Good for you!

As far as bras go..... I've always put them on and hooked them in the front - then spun them around and put my arms through the straps last.... (is that just an A cup thing?)

That's what I do, too, Eden, but I unhook from the back when taking it off. My right shoulder is atrophied from not doing that every day, but my left shoulder pops in just the right spot every night. ahhhh.... :o:D:)

Yea ... so I hook mine and throw it over my head. Actually, I rarely unhook them, period.

What did you have that you were released from? Maybe you could link me to the original link.

This last time was shoulder surgery -- monster bone spur. Before that is was a cervical decompression and fusion.

It's been a fun year.

Hi Snap

Now that is such good news, perhaps it is time just to burn your bra...............go liberate yourself, just don't turn around too quickly!

Hope your arms are OK when putting your tiara on???

Take very good care of yourself. :)
