Alrighty then... I've been a poster on a few of these saddle threads already and once again, I am hopeful.

I am a triathlete (I compete in sprint to 1/2 iron distances) who just can't get her bum comfy despite bike fit after bike fit and saddle after saddle. I have quite a collection now. ;) I've ridden on an ISM Adamo Race, Selle SMP Pro, Selle San Marco Mantra, Specialized Jett, Cobb V-Flow Max and the Selle San Marco Island that came with my Cervelo P2C.

After those six saddles, boat loads of miles on each and too many sores and bruises, I have decided to 'ignore' the weight factor that we triathletes put such 'pressure' on and go out on a limb and try something totally different.

Enter the Selle An-Atomica.

I had a discount coupon and ended up ordering my saddle through trisports.com; BUT, I made sure to contact Tom at the Selle An-Atomica company FIRST so that I could enact the return policy if necessary.

At this point I am hopeful. I keep trying to find some negatives about riding on a suspended leather saddle, but other than having to use the tensioning bolt as the leather stretches, I really can't find any. It 'appears' that those who ride Brooks or Selle An-Atamica love their seats.

I will be sure to post back and let y'all know how it goes. Hoping for it to arrive early next week.

Keep your fingers crossed for me! :D

OMG...... you are going to love it. I just got mine a week or so ago, and how else can I describe it except it's almost magical... {sigh} :D Truly the most comfortable saddle ever invented, and I've tried about a thousand dollars worth - including many you mentioned and the Brooks Imperial models.

If you have *ANY* irritation or pressure points with the saddle send Tom at Selle Anatomica a brief email explaining where and he can tell you exactly how to get rid of them. It took only 2 rides to get mine dialed in correctly with his suggestions.

Happy comfortable riding!

Edit: Stretching.. mine has barely started to make sitbone dents after 100 miles or so. Maybe it has stretched a microscopic amount. But I have the tensioning bolt almost all the way in - it's nearly all the way loose. According to the directions - you loosen it to make a wider sitbone area, and tension it to make it narrower. I would be a Specialized size 155, and I fit quite comfortably on the Anatomica. At this rate of stretch, I have YEARS worth of tensioning left in the bolt.. oh, and fwiw.. I weigh 140lbs.
