Ouch.

Did the rider that died have a helmet on?

Sad news.

Seriously, sometimes it's better to get off the bike and walk through those tunnels, lights or no.

Don't know about the helmets but I do know it's not hard to get disoriented in a tunnel.

Exactly. Bikes don't always like those close confines.
