Hello ladies...I'm in need of an insert/footbed for my cycling shoes. Ideally, I would like a heat-moldable one...such as the Louis Garneau insole offered here at the TE store, or the Sole Slim Sport Custom Footbed. Does anyone have any personal experience with either of these 2 heat-moldable inserts? Looking for some general feedback....good, bad, whatever. Thank you!

I use the Louis Garneau moldable and the Specialized BG footbed. The BG is used in my road shoes, and the Louis Garneau works great in the MTB shoes. The Garneau feels better overall, however and I would put them in the road shoes too if I didn't have the BGs. It makes the shoes feel custom and has prevented those dreaded hotspots that can ruin a great ride.
The Garneau was easy to heat and easy to set by standing on them in the shoes for a few minutes while they cooled. Once done, my already comfy Shimano WM80s felt even better. I bough the blue 'cool' ones, as out in So Cal it rarely gets cold enough to need anything insulated in the shoes (and I can always wear shoe covers if it gets cold).
Sorry, I have no experience with the Sole Slims.

I saw this and thought I would give you my experience....
I have high arches and was told by a family member that I should support them now while I am "young" otherwise they will fall. I do not want that to happen so...
I was told about the SOLE brand. They are out of Montana apparently. On the first go, I purchased three sets of insoles. One for my running shoes, one for my around the house shoes, and one for my cycling shoes.
When I put them in my shoes, they were great. I have the support I need and will go back to them for more when needed. My family member had previously tried the superfeet brand and they did not work for him. That was why he went the SOLE direction.
I have also fallen in love with the Dansko brand for all other shoes. My feet rebel if I do not wear the Danskos.
I hope this helps. I have not done the heat molding of my footbeds because I am exchanging them between shoes. Would this make a difference?

Thank you both, for your feedback! I may just go ahead and purchase both the LG and the Sole Slim footbeds. I can try one in my road shoes, and the other in my MTB shoes which I use for spinning classes...and see which one I like better.
In regards to the comment on Dansko shoes...yes, I have already discovered Dansko's!!! LOVE 'EM! I wear them exclusively as my work shoe. I have plantar fasciitis in my left foot, so good shoes are important to me. When I'm lounging around at home, I absolutely MUST have my Crocs Mammoth's on, otherwise my feet will protest loudly. :D
