Catch this fantastic cycling-acrobatics/gymnastics (?) competition performance by 2 German sisters.
http://tinyurl.com/noefzl This is ultimate track-standing and no-hands cycling.:)
It's a competition...according dearie who was straining to hear the German..the sisters received over 126 points for their performance.
Some of the maneouvres remind me of the Chinese circus/acrobatic performers (you know 10 performers standing in a triangle tower on one moving bike..) but other manoeuvres just show how strong one of these sisters is. She must lift weights regularily..
Go women...you're stronger than you think!!

I made out the hundred point part but the rest was soo garbled I couldn't understand what was being said.
Soo what's the point of riding a bike with two wheels. The front wheel seems like an incidental thing, an extra. It's like an unicycle with extra wheel :p
Well they sure have a sense of balance and lots of hutzpa. I sure would hate to fall on my own bike. It's bad enough when your cleats slip on the pedal when trying to clip in and you land on the top tube. talk about an owie...
Do you think they've had crashes?? you would think they would have no??

Yep, it's called artistic cycling:

together with cycleball
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cycleball
it's one of the weirder things to do on 2 wheels, but I happened to grow up with a competitive cycleballer as a neighbor (unfortunately he never won the world championships against the all-dominating Czechs), so I know almost all about it and I even went to the local club to try one of the trick bikes once when I was about 12.
When I tried to emulate those on my normal bike, I completely jammed the nuts on the back axle (sort of wing nuts? - stood on them as you'd do on an artistic bike)

Good point, they must also be competent on a unicycle. Maybe they go for middle distance unicycle racing as training or something. :p
You're right badgercat, I didn't look at all. My bad.
Oak, how about a handstand on the handlebars of a moving bike? Somewhere buried in this vdeo (when you get past the 1 min. commercial), a guy does it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9LBkhemTGW8&feature=PlayList&p=9EFE4EC4A2857CE1&playnext=1&playnext_from=PL&index=15
