Ok those who know me know that I tend to help out animals that need a little extra help. Ponce was our last kitty we helped out. He had a bad problem with cysts on his face all the time. His family did not take care of him. He was a great kitty. He went missing many months ago. i was very sad...till last week when another neighbor swears they have seen him and he looks good. So thinking someone has adopted him. Which makes me happy. But when he went missing his brother came looking for him. He is not like his brother. He is shy and not as social as his brother was. But he keeps showing up and is so skinny. I stole him for a couple days and got him fixed and got him shots and tested. When we leave our friend puts food out for him. But i think other cats eat his food. So as soon as we get home from a trip he is at our front door. No matter what time of day or night. He likes outside which is fine. But he comes in and plays with the toys and eats. He is so pretty.....but we can't for the life of us figure out a name for him! I keep calling him handsome, Cause he is but my hubby thinks he needs a real name. Our cats now are Aki, Bo and Willow. Aki is short for Sukyaki she is siemese. Ok here is a picture of handsome.

Handsome is a great name for this gorgeous cat. Why fight it?

Wow, he's gorgeous! I bet you'll always call him handsome, whether you give him another name or not.

He looks like those old pictures of ocean ship cats, especially standing on that keg of rum. ;D How about a seafaring name? maybe Ahab, or Captain?

my cousin named her dog Handsome.

Keep him inside and start calling him George Clooney.

He's a beauty! Very tiger-lion like... how about a swahili name?

I found a translator online and Zuri means handsome in Swahili.

Has a nice strong ring to it.

Zuri is a good name.

He struck me as a Vincent, though.

Oh, he really is Handsome!

I'd call him Handy for short. It's a great picture.

What about Bello? I was looking up translations in different languages for handsome and came up with this one.

I was going to suggest Beau, but you've already got a Bo.
Maybe someone can come up with Handsome in some other language?
He is very handsome.

He looks just like our cat Cookie (see avatar). My husband named her Cookie because when he first saw her, her face looked just like a chocolate chip cookie.

I was thinking of handsome in another language too! How funny. Zuri is tempting.......Oh no...he just came in the house for a visit and a snack, I called him. Said "Hey Zuri" and he perked up and came over to me! Hmmmmm that might be it!

Your accountant is named Humphrey Bogart?
Hmmm....might want to run a little background check there before handing him your books to do.

Threadjack but my cat is named Tortilla. I thought she looked like Turtle ice cream and was going to call her Tortuga. My friend said "you want to call her Tortilla?" And I thought, well why not? It fit her personality and she kind of looks like a flour tortilla. :p A friend of the family has a cat named Chicken Wing but I don't know why.

Tortilla! What a great name! I may have to remember that one for a future pet.

I once had a friend with a dog named Fletcher. But her little niece always thought they were calling him Sweatshirt. I believe they called him Sweatshirt from then on.

For this cute little stripey kitty, I have a feeling Handsome might stick even if you do choose another name. My cats tend to go by nicknames more than their real names. My fluffy cat is currently answering to the name Fuzzy Wuzzy, or Fuzz Wuzz for short.

How about Guapo? It's Spanish for "handsome" and that's exactly what I thought about him when I saw him. GORGEOUS boy...and very lucky that you and your husband are so kind-hearted. Bless you!

I would probably name him something stately like Franklin, Cornelius, Wallace etc...

But ultimately my love of science would win: Sprocket, Beaker, Edison, Niels, Watson, etc...

Well, what did you name the young boy??
I was thinking he's a handsome boy as everyone mentioned earlier, debonaire (spelling) could be shortenend to Devon...if you haven't found a name yet..
