Here (http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270443360975&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en) is a meticulously restored JC Higgins. While I would love to have one of these bikes (well, one from the 60's), it's only because it was my first one, thus it's for sentimental reasons. Not because it's worth anything. They were sold by Sears. So, $2500????? Maybe 60 years from now you will find a "miticulously" restored Murray. By then it will be $120,000.:D

Wow, that's a nice bike. I wouldn't spend that kind of money on it (I need stormwindows), but I'm sure someone would.

I had a JC Higgins 3-speed bike that I got for $40 a few years ago. I think it was from the 1960s. It was a basic black 3-speed, but the chainring had "JC HIGGINS" in metal--it was very cool. Alas, it had to stay behind when my marriage ended. It's probably still in the shed...

We'll see if someone buys it-- I suppose from the standpoint of the person who put so much time and effort (and cash) into restoring it that it would be a pity to sell it for less and potentially lose money on it. What % of that bike do you think is pure profit?
