My older sister lives in SF and needs a cat sitter during the first week of Sept. I am thinking of making it a little vacation and heading out there for 6 days to watch her cat. This means, I will also be bringing the bike because I will need to train!
So, once I get the dates I will update this, but anyone who could help me out with riding from within in the city limits would be great and if there are any crits or rr going on I would love to know about them!
Also, since I am coming from south fl, what is the weather like then for riding gear? And I should be changing my 11-23/11-21(depending which wheel set) out to the 12-27 I am assuming?

What length of routes are you looking for? I think you're probably looking for a bit more of a challenge than the previous thread starters on SF routes. Feel free to PM me if you'd like me to email you some route sheets in the southern Marin area. You'd just need to make your way to and across the Golden gate Bridge.
I think your change of cassette will probably be good. Weather will be anything from 60's and foggy in the city to 80's in Marin. Arm warmers, vests, etc. that allow for adaptability of clothing are good.

Layers, layers, layers :)
If you don't like our weather either warm up or wait 5 minutes :p

Thanks!
Yeah, I will be staying in the north panhandle area, I know where to run around there- just never taken the bike before:)
And if I go, I will be racing on the 7th in the giro di metromint(i so did not get the name of it correct!) so I do need to get some training rides in during the week.

Emily,
It's getting close to your arrival. Have you decided what you want to do?
MP suggested Marin rides which are fabulous! Keep us up to date on your plans and maybe we can meet up with you.

Luckily I hadn't bought my plane ticket yet! I will be coming out sometime in the fall though, but right now, since I broke up with the SO and am saving money to move out of our apartment I need to be responsible and work.Ahhh wish I could be going to san fran instead
