Jackie Baker will be teaching 2 skills clinics for women next weekend in Park City. Saturday is beginner/intermediate, and Sunday is intermediate/advanced. For details see the BikeSkills Calendar (http://www.bikeskills.com/event_calendar.php).
I did the beginner clinic a few weeks ago and I loved it. She broke things down to some fundamentals that I really needed in my transition from roadie to MTB'er. It gave me the confidence I needed to go back to the trails and practice and to enjoy my rides more. As I'm riding I can still hear her voice in my brain reminding me to do certain things. Mine was a very basic clinic which is what I was looking for at the time (we didn't quite get to the "lifting the front wheel" or "j-hops" skills). We started on the grassy area for the first hour and then headed out onto the trails. Since there were just 2 of us that day, she was able to tailor it to our needs. I would love to hear reviews from any intermediate or advanced riders to find out if you found her clinic worthwhile as well.
