This september my parents will be married for 50 years. Their biggest hobby is cycling. :D
So me and my two brothers saved some money to get them a cool present. A cycling wonderbox :D
What's in it?
Two giro helmets
Two brooks saddles
Two bags
Water bottles
A special route we've made for them, with their own signals ( :D )
10 free lunches in a cycling café
Two rain jackets.
Earplugs for my mum (because my father is nagging all the time she is going too fast). :D
Fake EPO (sugar water) for my dad (so he can keep up with my mum)
I guess they'll be happy. :D

:D That is excellent! :D
Your parents have great kids.
Wow, that sound terrific!
(Is it safe to wear earplugs while you ride?)

That's just a joke. :D
You're not allowed to here. iPods and stuff either.

Oh good--I didn't want you to give your mother something that may lead to her injury (or worse) :p
Maybe you can get her a t-shirt that says "no, I'm not going too fast" on the sleeves and then she can just point to it ;)

That's such a great and creative idea. And cycling parents, how cool!
My parents' 50th anniversary is later this year too, but only my Mom would appreciate a cycling wonderbox.

I'm trying to get a signed shirt from one of her favorite pro-racers (Gert Steegmans, he's a TdF stage winner). I see him quite often but just not now it seems. :o

If you see him (or Eddy!!!) get me 1, too! Or Tom. :)
What a great, creative gift that I'm sure your parents are going to love! Good for them for still riding! That's my goal--to ride for the rest of my life.

They ride around 40 kms every day (except on rainy days). All year long!
Although Eddy Merckx doesn't live too far from here (less than 30 mins), I'm kinda intimidated by him. :o
Gert is very nice and easy going. Whenever he sees me riding he always slows down(:o :D ) a bit for a talk. :)

I know what you mean...if I ever saw Eddy while riding, I'd probably fall off my bike.

Steegmans is actually racing again after a short break due to him not signing katusha's nondoping contract-thingy.
and talk is he's going to columbia to be leadout for cavendish.
i always liked him leading out boonen.

Yeah I know, but there are serveral teams interested. Bbox, Columbia, QuickStep (but I don't think he'll go back, I hope not). Actually QS is trying to sign Contador. If he does, Boonen has to leave. Which is a good thing for Boonen. He needs to go to a team where there are more strict rules.
