These look... kinda fun. :D http://www.bikeglowlights.com/

2 AA batteries under your saddle gets you 10 feet of lit "rope" to wrap around your bike as you see fit. $25 at REI (http://www.rei.com/product/793960), though it looks like there are more colors available if you go straight to the manufacturer. Anybody tried them? I'm tempted to get one for my commuter, but the funds aren't quite there for me right now.

I think I might have to buy one of these.

A set of Down Low Glow and Monkeylectrics would be the ultimate for my commute, but they are quite expensive and I'd be awfully sad if they got stolen.

Wonder how the visibility would be if the glowing rope were wrapped around the rider rather than the main triangle?

Yup, I need one! (or two)

I guess I hadn't considered wrapping it around the rider... it seems like a drawback there would be the inconvenience of having to re-do it every day, unless you affixed it to a jacket or something.

Now I'm imagining the possibilities of criss-crossing multiple colors around the frame :o... I could definitely see myself having a lot of fun with it.

Wow- that's pretty cool and very affordable! I might check into getting one of those. :)

I think even cheaper from party stores - LED rope light battery is a good google for it.
