Hi y'all!

I know a long time ago someone on TE gave me a reference to a place that sold super strong magnets to use on the crank for cadence count. I have searched and searched and had no luck finding the post.

I even bought some those long ago days... and unfortunately the extras were lost or misplaced in my cross country move.

HELP please! Veronica... was it you that had the fine tidbit? I need some magnets...

Thank you!

I don't know about cadence sensors particularly - will any magnet do?

Radio Shack (http://www.radioshack.com/search/index.jsp?kwCatId=&kw=magnet&origkw=magnet&sr=1) has ceramic and rare earth magnets, $2 for two. They're super strong - I've used the rare earth magnets for tendinitis and they work really well.

Alternately, I have two spare Garmin cadence sensor magnets - they've had to replace the sensor under warranty twice, and the package comes complete with magnet, which I don't need. PM me and I'll mail you one.

Whichever is more convenient...

Thanks Oakleaf!

I think they were called rare earth magnets... but I ordered them from somewhere. Let me check RadioShack first. If what they have turns out not to be what I'm looking for I may take you up on your generous offer.

Meanwhile, if anyone sees Veronica, send her over here :) if for no other reason than to let me know I'm mis-remembering.

Thanks!
