I've just moved to the Lincoln Square area from Boston and would love to meet some other biking girls. All I see on the trails are old guys!

Far west burbs here. New to the sport. Any info helpful.

For starters, after this thread (http://forums.teamestrogen.com/showthread.php?t=33260), maybe try again with a new user name.

I'm in the western 'burbs...Riverside, about 5 minutes away from Brookfield Zoo. Hubby and I do lots of our riding south of here...down in Burr Ridge, Willow Springs, Palos, Darien, Lemont, etc.

We should all do a ride on the Prairie path once the weather gets warmer!

Isn't the Prairie Path covered in crushed limestone? I don't think I'd want to take my Cervelo road bike on that...with all that dust being kicked up, I'd be cleaning out the drivetrain for days...

I think it's probably called the North Branch trail... goes up to and through the Botanical Gardens. It's a great diversion to the LFP in the summer, because it's much less traveled.

The Prairie Path runs north-south through Kane and McHenry counties, along the Fox River. It heads north until Genoa City, WI To the south, it connects with the Fox River Trail. It's around 100 miles of path. I've never biked it, but I'd sure like to!
