OK, so I gave my Thompson Masterpiece seatpost to my SO and bought a full carbon Colnago one to go, of course, on my Colnago. Stuck it on and eyeballed the height and the fore/aft adjustment. Rode around a bit and realized that the only problem was the tilt. It was nose high. But the clamp on the dang thing is weird. It has one front screw (allen type) and a rear screw that seems to not be particularly adjustable from anywhere I can find. I tried to take a pic but the resolution wasn't right.
Anyone who has one of the darn things figure out how to adjust the tilt? I did 35 miles and actually felt great despite the most uncomfortable tilt. THe carbon seatpost made a big difference for me. But I am unwilling to do it again without getting the tilt properly adjusted.
I need to take the thing to someone who is used to Colnagos and get fitted to it. My LBS, bless their hearts, tried, but from what I understand Colnagos are weird, and I had to tweak their fitting when I got home, it wound up being totally different before I got optimal performance and comfort. I was FLYING today, went up a long climb at 21 mph...got to the end and had to wait almost 4 minutes for my buddy...I didn't know I had dropped him!
