I have basically been living out in the country since January and due to, first, illness and then "too much wind," and getting involved with other things, I haven't been riding much at all.
Until today! Did 20 mile loop, via Wal-Mart, on my Surly Big Dummy and got all my shopping done. I sold my car (still have a truck to transport livestock) and bought an electric assist from Cycle 9 www.cycle9.com (http://www.cycle9.com/) and feel like I can do shopping trips into town (8 miles away) whenever I need to.
My first big challenge will be lugging home a 50 lb bag of feed, but at least I have the bike for it!
Good to see all the old, as in familiar!, cyclists still peddling along. Best cycling advice I ever got was from Triskiliongirl: "Just keep peddling." Glad I finally remembered it!
