What's in your area? Do you have bike themed art, music, movies, cafe's .... something unique?

See page 2 of this newsletter. Photo of large bicycle seat art at the edge of a large botanical garden (Queen Elizabeth Park) in town. I ride by this artwork daily and have never taken a photo of it yet! http://vancouver.ca/commsvcs/oca/publicart/panorama/pdf/Panorama09.pdf

Mountain biking culture is another world here since we’re not part of it.

If people don’t know already, this magazine is published in Vancouver, B.C. We do know the core publishers and some local regular writers.

Cycling fashion show and art show last year. http://www.momentumplanet.com/blog/tania-lo/bikosphere-2008-recap

Other subcultures which we see riding around in groups but unless I have photos to point out some creative folk. Maybe other Vancouverites have some observations..

Not as "creative', but probably atypical when comparing to other cities, ...a water taxi specifically for taking your bikes across water for a 5-8 min. ride. More for people who don't realize there is a great flat waterfront /seawall bike route all the way around this water body.

Trek420 and I are a bit involved with that one. It was nice to have Amy recognize me at the Seattle Bike Expo before I even walked up to the Momentum table!

Excellent magazine, I hope everyone takes a look at it! (and subscribe if you like it, please!)

ETA: Here's an oldie-but-goodie of the B:C:Clettes that's been posted here on TE many times, but one more won't hurt! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCPhv0uAgkw

I understand the Bicycle Music Band will be coming from San Francisco to Vancouver, BC on Aug. 29th. Sounds cool!
