I'm fascinated with tumbleweed tiny houses. Not gonna happen (at least not any time soon...) but they're awesome!

I'm fascinated with them too. it's long been my fantasy to pare down my belongings and live in an Airstream trailer.
Have you ever been in one?

I haven't been in one yet, but that's just what I'm thinking...in the next few years...

I haven't been in an airstream, but when ever I hear someone talk about them I get thirsty :) :

I've always wanted one, too.... sigh.

I think Airstreams would be cheaper than a Tumbleweed, darn. The "T@B" trailers are also incredibly cute. http://www.tab-rv.com/ When I was a young hippie child, we spent a good bit of time living in tents/teepees. So, the idea of living in a tiny space (especially one that is transportable!) is very appealing to me. Kinda like houseboats or housebarges.

There's a woman somewhere in Arizona (I think) who renovates Airstreams. She'll paint pictures on it, too. She does nice work, I saw photos of one of hers that a couple was living in full time. Can't remember her name or details, but her website was great with lots of stories from folks who were living in their Airstreams.

Thanks for the Tumbleweed website -- too cool. Maybe someday! We don't have kids so won't have grandkids and thus are people who could actually live in such a place one day (maybe when we're down to one bike apiece!) I have always dreamed of living in a "tiny cottage". Maybe it was all the fairy tales I read as a girl....

We're hoping to cruise eventually for a few years on our sailboat, so after doing that, some of these houses would seem downright luxurious! :D

DH and I love those homes too. We would love to buy some land up in the mountains and build one of those. Very cool.
