Has anyone used Lidocaine or Flector pain patches? I was given samples by a doctor in an attempt to reduce my tailbone/low back discomfort. Do these things really work?

Using Flector right now, yes it works, as kind of a depot - better than layering on the creams several times a day. But it's of course mostly symptomatic - pain relief and bringing down inflammation.

I have used both for lower back problems. The lidocaine patches work wonders. I didn't finder as much relief with the Flector but my husband who had back surgery loves them. They will definitely help. I think the deeper pain the lidocaine will work better, if it's muscular like spasms then the flector will work.
