Zen, you never fail to make me laugh! :D
I saw that on the road today and knew you guys would like it.
Had to turn around, couldn't let that one get away.

What is that creature? A gila monster? A hill slug?
I wonder who put it there and why. What would you write on the road for your personal ride booster?
"GO, GO, GO!"
I wonder how much trouble I'd get into from Parks and Rec for defacing the paved pathway around Lake Miramar.

Warning: Randomness follows. I'll blame it on the fact that I gave blood this morning.
I figured it was a turtle from the beginning. But then, as I looked at it closely, somewhat bemused by the lack of detail, this weird part of my brain peeped up and said that it looked like a Shmoo, bending over like it was going to play leap frog. The rest of my brain had no idea what a Shmoo was, so I had to google it out of curiosity (to find out whether this weird part of my brain had any credibility).
I first misspelled it as "Schmoo", but then I found this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlLe0iZdvew).
I am agog and aghast at the brain's ability to remember useless crap...
OK, sorry, back on topic: Very cute! Thanks for posting. :)

Um...I pedaled over it.
I found a snake today while riding my mountain bike. I did NOT pedal over it.
