Well, I think my 15 min of fame is about to be used up. I do a charity ride once a year - metric century for our local hospital to raise funds for palliative care. A few years ago, I started off with a group, but ended up finding another woman who was riding the same pace as me. We crossed the finish together - photographer got a pretty good shot. Well- this year, it is "the" shot for all of the brochures, postcards, posters and a billboard. So below is a post card. I'm seeing myself everywhere I go! This year, they've offered an imperial century, which of course I have to do. (And the jersey is spectacular!) Anyway- it's me (and my Cannondale) on the left.

What a great poster to keep for years to come. Lucky you!

Don't know the names of all the hospitals in your area, with all the hospital mergers in past few decades. It must in the Peel Region at least. :o I've cycled through your region for various bike trips, of course.

Mimi- picked up posters yesterday - I'll have to get DH or DS to take my picture under the billboard.

Shootingstar- The fundraiser is for Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga. It opened in 1986. DH worked in outpatient physio when it first opened. I used to drive him there when we lived in Toronto and needed the car. It was in the middle of a field....but no more.

Mississauga

Twice in one day, I've read this word. It is the hometown of a baseball player who plays on our local Double-A Minor League Baseball team, the Northwest Arkansas Naturals. :) I read it in the team's media guide.

Never seen the word before in my life!

**oh, I should say, COOL! about the billboard. :)

It's not far from where some of my family lives and my Mum was from. I like reading it, makes me miss my cousins. :)

That poster is outstanding, what a cool thing to have! And hey, maybe you can get the billboard when they are done, you know, some cool wallpaper for the gameroom or something? ;)

That is so awesome! What a great picture, too. I wonder if the other woman in the photo is having as much fun with it as you are. Has anyone recognized you from the picture?
