This morning while reading skinimini's TE cookbook thread, I had a brainstorm and thought to myself "What if we did a google doc and had a 'rolling submission' cookbook open to everyone?"

So I made up the framework on Google docs this morning and organized it in a way that I feel makes some sense.

I included sections for Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten-free cooking so that those who want to see these recipes don't have to wade through other sections. Do you think we need a Dairy-Free and a Low-Sugar section too?

I also put a note on the top for people to mark their recipes with any special dietary category as necessary.

There's also a section for cycling specific fueling and nutrition for those that want to share pre-ride and post-ride recipes and tips.

Anyway, the google doc is ready. If anyone wants to be invited as an editor, just pm me with your e-mail address! I'd be glad to share the editing responsibilities.

To view the framework, go here:

If you don't want to become an editor but would like to add your recipe to a section, just post it in this thread or pm an editor.

Now that is clever!
I'm pretty sure everyone knows how to make a PB&J so I have nothing to add at this time but thank you.

Spit cranberry juice on my keyboard. Thanks a lot, Zen!

Cookbook is a great idea, Reesha :) Everybody loves cookbooks.

Thanks :) I've pmed Susan to get formal approval. Worst case scenario I can take down any references to TE.

Now that I'm back from today's bike ride, I think I'll add my first recipe: Farfalle alla carbonara with smoked salmon!

For those who have tried to view it, but cannot presently-- I am currently trying to find a way to make it public.

Alternatively, if you have a google docs account you can log in and request to view the document. Annoying, I know, but it's all there is for now!

There are currently five recipes, but I may add another shortly :o

If available, you want a photo?

Actually this one you could consider as a contribution.

Rhubarb Compote over Chocolate Hazelnut Crème (Serves 2)

At this very moment, I'm making 2 (or 3  I'm experimenting. ;)0 different things..from scratch for supper. Maybe I should post the photo first in a few hrs.

It might be a strange cookbook, full of easy and other types of recipes.

I anticipate it will be strange indeed-- I added "apples with raw almond butter" as an immediate post ride recovery snack. Not a recipe in the slightest! :o

I have added your recipe with a picture!

Ooohhh another thing..

I noticed that Safari screws up the formatting nicely  Everything is all super duper double spaced, which is annoying.

BUT! it looks all right in Firefox.

I just snorted in a meeting at work! Serves me right for surfing TE when I should be paying attention. ;)

Great cookbook idea! I'll try to submit a few recipes later today. :)

(and FYI: Susan is out of town on vacation, so she may not respond to PM's in her normal timely manner)
