I've got a set of Bontrager wheels that I purchased online that now has a crack in the rear rim and is unsafe to ride. As far as I can tell, this is a defect and should be covered by warranty - the wheels have only been used for a year, have never been crashed or otherwise abused, and I'm not a large enough rider to be really hard on them. Bontrager customer service told me that I need to take the wheels to a local dealer and get them inspected to see if I can make a warranty claim.

The closest & most convenient shops for me would be either Redmond Cycle, or Montlake Bike (Kirkland location). I haven't dealt with either shop before, so I'm looking for opinions from those of you who have. I'm hoping to deal with friendly, helpful, knowledgeable service people who won't talk down to me just because I'm female. So...if any of you have experiences (good or bad) with either shop please let me know!
