What, no bank account information required??

Must not be as important as your MARITAL STATUS and SEX. I am sure once you send them that info they will want your SS#.

I've thought about setting up a gmail or similar dummy account. I would love to answer emails like that - I think I could come up with a whole bunch of imaginative answers to the questions. But, I'm too afraid to even give out my email in those situations, which would happen by replying.

Someone is already spending a lot of time on these folks. It's risky business but fun to watch:

Ok, I know spam when I see it and yes always delete it. My question is..what actually happens if you respond? Can you weasel them well??

I'm not about to but am curious about what's going on at the other computer..

I've never seen one with an employment opportunity, but in this case they might try to extract some fee from you for information or before "hiring".

all the other "Nigerian scams" - see link above, the guy is really good at duping them.

Oh Zen. Really. Here is opportunity knocking on your door - no, POUNDING on your door - and you turn it down?? You are so sceptical. I swear, you are NEVER going to get a, umm, "international expatriate official job" that way.

yes, CC, you can weasel them. Go to that link Alpine Rabbit has provided. There are lots of great stories of people who have responded to these emails and even profited! (by scamming the scammers.) it's hilarious. On the other hand, so many people ARE scammed by these people.
anyway; check out that link. There's more like it too.

http://www.scambuster419.co.uk/ is soo funny.

When I tried to sell my car on the internet, I got lot of scammers. After a while I just deleted the messages without reading them.

I can't tell you how many times I have had this exact same email come in to my spam. Interesting that they refer to you as "Dearest One" though
