View Full Version : HELP! my shorts keep riding up to my bum!

I just bought a pair of Louis Garneau Classic Shorts. I love the padding but the legs has no elastic gripper. The shorts are cut to mid-thigh, relatively higher then what my normals shorts are. So when I ride with these, the legs creep up to the top of my thighs, makes me look like I'm riding in my underwear!
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can sew on to the legs to make it stay put? Or should I just return these?
Thank you :)
I would consider returning them if it can be done...
Are you 100% sure they're the right size? If so, then that's pretty poor design.
Sounds like they are too big......

Ah, old school. :p (if they're not too big)
You've discovered the reason that ALL cycling shorts used to end just above the knee. (And if the fabric was too stretchy, they'd ride up anyway.)
I doubt most places will take cycling shorts back once they've been worn. :( Try selling them here on TE maybe.
Or perhaps you can find some silicone gripper material that can be applied liquid? Wouldn't hurt to browse the fabric stores.
Or fold them once or twice, if the material doesn't chafe you, and use them on hot summer days. Cycling thighs look great :)

:D heehee.... at least I can tan my whole legs then huh? lol
I guess I'll do some searching at DressSew and see what I can find. Is there such thing as liquid silicon for fabric? hmmm.
