I love to grill in the summer... it's definitely my favorite way to cook chicken and veggies! A summer grilling favorite of mine is making Kabobs bc they are so easy to make and have a great mix of tastes and colors.

I usually go with chicken kabobs and add lots of veggies like peppers, red onions and zucchini :)

This recipe actually gave me the idea of making a dipping sauce to go along with the kabobs... great combo!

If you grill, what are some of your favorite summer recipes?

Thanks for sharing that recipe! We grill almost every night when weather allows. Our staple foods are grilled red pepper and sweet onion, zucchini, asparagus, and chicken and steak. Kabobs are eaten a lot around here, too. I'll have to post some recipes later!

A hot dog on a dime-store hibachi.

I grill all year around even if I am standing out in the snow. However, I don't have any fancy recipes. I just do the standard chicken, fish or ground turkey. I also do kabobs with all vegetables.

Your welcome :)
Mmmm Asparagus is great on the grill... I usually wrap it in some tin foil with olive oil, crushed garlic, salt and pepper!
I look forward to you posting some of your recipes.

That's some dedication. I am lucky bc I recently moved out to California where I can grill practically every day of the year in confortable weather... I used to live in MA so I know what harsh winters can be like!

I don't go too crazy with any of my recipes either... I usually keep in simple. I'm a big fan of just grilling some good ol' BBQ chicken or some chicken / steak or veggie kabobs.

This year I've been branching out a bit in terms of trying new marinades and sauces... I actually tried making this Asian Honey BBQ sauce for my chicken on Memorial day weekend and it turned out amazing. (The recipe was so simple... it was just KRAFT Honey BBQ sauce as a base and then you add in soy sauce, ground ginger (a favorite!!) and some garlic powder.)

Now I'm inspired to try some others since it was so simple to make and tasty :)

Sliced potatoes, with about a quarter of an onion (cut up) wrapped in foil with some olive oil, salt and pepper.
Also (on occasion), ribs, slathered generously with Montgomery Inn BBQ sauce. I miss that stuff.

Would be nice, but bbq/grills are not allowed on our balconies in our condo building.

We haven't considered any plug-in indoor grills since we have no more counter/storage space for yet another kitchen appliance.

I love to grill. My favorites are veggies and seafood. Shrimp kabobs, yum! I do make a mean slab of ribs too. They take half a day of baby-sitting on very low heat, but they're worth it.

Yesterday at our office picnic...
One of the supervisors in the office - who can be a jerk at times until the subject of sharing his hunting and fishing bounty comes up - grilled the following:

* tuna steaks
* redfish and wahoo filets - don't ask me what a wahoo is, it's a Gulf fish that's all I know :D
* venison kabobs (marinated venison, onions, bell peppers, cherry tomatoes)
* venison sausage
* shrimp wrapped in turkey bacon appetizers

All was done perfectly. He was a happy man. Nothing domesticated on the grill. :cool:
And he brought his gas grill set-up from home, there were none in the park.

If I move from this part of the country I will miss the fine cooking of Cajun men.
